30th - Autism Legislative Day in Montgomery, AL
Meeting with Legislators to advocate for important issues relating to Autism. 1 in 110 is the current statistic. If your child is on the spectrum please get involved and make your voice heard for your child.

9th - Mayor Tommy Battle reads proclamation of Huntsville declaring April as Autism
Awareness Month.
10th - Walk for Autism at Chapman Middle School (track)
8:30 AM - Noon
$25/walker pre-registered or $30/walker the day of walk
Come out and walk on my team. We are walking for my daughter Catherine who has
Autism.

24th - Bowl-A-Thon benefiting Spina Bifida
I am helping my friend Kayla Beard, 1st Runner Up in the Ms. Wheelchair Alabama
Foundation Pageant. She is putting on this event to raise money for Spina Bifida which she
has had all her life. Please email me at [email protected] if you would like to
make a tax-deductible donation.

13th - Huntsville City Council Meeting. One of my girl scout troops in my unit is
receiving recognition and presenting blankets to the fire department from a community
service project that the troop completed.
15th - Girl Scouts of North Central Alabama Annual Meeting

I am a Delegate and vote on important bylaw changes and board members that will serve
the council.
21st - Field Day at Farley. I will be volunteering to be the "BooBoo Mom"
receiving recognition and presenting blankets to the fire department from a community

Competition in Grand Rapids, Michigan. We still need another $750 for the final payment
of the entry fee. We will be fundraising until June 19th. Please contact the Ms. Wheelchair
Alabama Foundation to make a donation or you can make one at any Wacovia Bank.
12th - BOWLATHON to benefit The Abilities Council. Madison Bowling Center at 5PM - 7:30PM.
We are recruiting teams now. Please call 256-457-9206 if interested in bowling. Free
T-shirts to teams that register by June 8th. If you own a business or know a business that
is willing to donate merchandise or a service to our Silent Auction please have them
contact us as well. All donations are Tax Deductible under the 501c3 status.

community of North Alabama!
